Your AI-use rules
We help you write down which AI tools your team may use, what they may do with client information and who checks the work.
Company
Cast & Rule isn't only a product you install. We work with you over time, adding AI automation one workflow at a time and building it for your clients and the way your practice works.

Every practice works differently: different clients, different templates, a different way of reviewing. Off-the-shelf software meets you halfway. Working together, we build the rest around you, and keep improving it as your practice changes.
We spend time with your partners and team to map the work that takes the most hours: your templates, your client mix, your deadlines and how you review. You decide what's in scope, and which client data we may see for it.
We turn that work into tasks that run your way, with your templates, your house style and your checks, for your clients' needs. Each one builds on a core task we maintain for every practice, is signed by us for your practice alone, and runs only within the permissions you accept.
We start with one workflow. Once it's accepted and the numbers work for both sides, we add the next, then the next. Nothing new goes live without your say-so. New versions are offered to you, you try them on your own machine, and they install only when you approve them. The previous version stays available.
We meet as often as you agree with us, for example monthly while new workflows are bedding in, to look at what's working, what the Ledger shows, what your reviewers changed, and what to build next.
Each part is agreed in writing before it starts, including the build days, support hours and meetings it includes.

A ranked list of the jobs your team repeats most: how often, who checks them and which touch client data.
Built around your templates, your clients and your checks. Your reviewer accepts it before anyone relies on it.
Short sessions for the people who prepare and check the work, so it doesn't depend on us.
Tested updates to tasks and models, offered for your approval, and help when something goes wrong, within the support we've agreed.
Core tasks come with the licence and grow over time. Tasks built for your practice are part of the partnership.
Its own scope, reviewer, expected benefit and sign-off before we start. We build it only if it's worth the cost to you.
Help with how your practice shows up in search and AI answers is a separate service you can ask for. It's never part of the pilot.
Your firm's AI-use policy, applied as permissions on each task. Tasks run only when signed, and a document can't grant permissions.
Machine work ends at Prepared, and only a partner's ruling releases it to a client or HMRC.
What the AI did is recorded, with each entry locked to the one before it, so a later change to a checked entry shows up.
Every partnership starts with the pilot: one workflow, six weeks, at one UK practice of 5 to 20 staff, supervised and measured before and after, with a written exit. Send an enquiry or email us today.

Questions partners ask
Both. Cast & Rule is a product, and a partnership to fit it to your practice: we learn how you work, build automations for your clients, and review them with you regularly.
We build automations for your clients' work, and your practice runs them under your rules. Your firm keeps the client relationship, and a named partner rules on anything that goes to a client or HMRC.
As often as you agree with us. Monthly suits the period while new workflows are bedding in; you can make it less often once things are settled.
We set out any fee, hardware and support costs in writing, with the scope, who does what and how it ends, before anything starts.
Keep it. We look for the repeated job your current tools leave unfinished, and build only if it earns its cost. If something you already pay for does the job, we'll tell you.
Yes, and we'd recommend it. Every partnership starts with one workflow in a six-week supervised pilot. More follow only if the first is accepted.
One practice first
For a UK practice of 5 to 20 staff, with a partner who'll own the review. We run one workflow, measure it before and after, and agree in writing how it ends. Send an enquiry or email us today.
